FlowUnzip extracts ZIP and 7z archives you download into a folder you choose. It has no analytics and no tracking, it shows no ads, and it sells no data.
What it accesses
- Your downloads: when a ZIP or 7z download starts, FlowUnzip pauses it and reads its address, file name, size and the page it came from. Afterwards it resumes the download, restarts it, or removes it once the files are extracted.
- The site the archive comes from: only after you allow access to that site. FlowUnzip requests the same file again, in pieces, using your existing session with that site. These requests go only to that site. They carry the same Referer header as your original download, because some sites refuse requests without it.
- The folder you pick: FlowUnzip writes the extracted files there and nowhere else.
What it stores, all in your browser
- your settings;
- how many free trial extractions you have used;
- your Pro license key, if you enter one;
- short-lived state for downloads in progress.
Who it talks to
- If you buy Pro, payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, under Stripe's privacy policy.
- After you pay, the FlowUnzip license site (flowunzip-liard.vercel.app) asks Stripe to confirm the purchase and shows your license key. The key contains your email address so you can tell which purchase it belongs to. The license site keeps no database.
- FlowUnzip checks license keys entirely offline.
- No other data leaves your computer.
